Town of Gordonsville
Gordonsville is a bustling small town full of charming stores and restaurants. At the crossroads of Routes 15, 33 and 231, Gordonsville has become a destination for a day of shopping. The new pocket park on Main Street is the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by.

Town of Madison
The town of Madison and the county are named for the Madison family that owned a tract of land along the Rapidan River. This family produced our nation’s fourth president, James Madison, whose estate, Montpelier, is in neighboring Orange County. The town has hosted notable visitors throughout its history including Royal Governor Alexander Spotswood and the Knights of the Golden Horseshoe, Civil War Generals Stonewall Jackson and J.E.B. Stuart and President Hoover, whose summer camp was in the mountains of Madison County. The town's historic buildings and agricultural heritage remain intact and a source of pride.

 

Town of Orange
Situated amidst rolling landscapes and spectacular views of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Town of Orange is a seat for Orange County and its business center. Easily reached from Richmond, Fredericksburg, Washington D.C. and Charlottesville, the town is a great place to visit, live and work. With its restaurants and nearby wineries, estate of President James Madison (Montpelier) and lakes for boating, fishing and picnicking, Orange is a great place to stay as you explore the region’s many attractions.

Town of Remington
Located on a scenic natural crossing of the Rappahannock River in southern Fauquier County, Remington was founded in the early nineteenth century and was a transportation link on the Rappahannock River Canal and, later, on the Orange and Alexandria Railroad. Remington experienced many civil war battles including the Battle of Brandy Station and Battle of Kelly’s Ford. Today, it preserves its historic tradition with quaint shops and is popular with visitors who come to paddle on the river and bicycle on the country roads around the town.

Town of Warrenton
The county seat of Fauquier County, the town of Warrenton is the county’s shopping and business center, as it has been for two hundred years. Warrenton is known for its quality of life, scenic beauty and history and has received awards for managing growth in a way that protects its rich heritage, unique architectural features and open spaces. It was awarded the coveted Preserve America Community Award by First Lady Laura Bush. Now, Warrenton’s Mayor Fitch has launched the nation’s most ambitious Green Initiative with the goal of reducing its carbon footprint by 25% by 2015.

Town of Washington
In July 1749, a 17-year old George Washington, assisted by two chainmen, laid out the Town of Washington in the same 5-block by 2-block grid that exists today. The town was officially established by the Virginia Assembly in 1796. Flanked by the rolling hills of Rappahannock County, the town and county retain a rustic charm. Quaint B&Bs, art galleries and shops and an array of cultural venues make it a peaceful yet vibrant community. The town is home to the five-star Inn at Little Washington whose gourmet food and inn attracts visitors from all over the world.
